Curbed Los Angeles posted an interesting story on LA’s 15 most glorious remaining Googies, mapped. Googie-style architecture is a unique category of architecture – it’s Atomic Age, Space Age, and just plain old funky.  It relies heavily on the post-war car culture – many Googies are gas stations, motels, or drive-in restaurants. Even the glorious LAX Theme Building is considered Googie. So when travel brings you to Los Angeles, this article will assist in locating some of the coolest architecture around.

If you have images, documents, or ephemera of Googie buildings in Los Angeles or elsewhere please consider sharing them with the ChronoPoints project.
